  • scuole e istituti accademici: ordine ufficiale su carta intestata.

academic pricing

Many Digilent products qualify for special academic pricing. To qualify for academic pricing, customers must fulfil both of the following requirements

1. you must fulfil one of the the following requirements:
   • be a student
   • work for a qualifying academic institution,
2. you must use the board for academic purposes (such as class work or research).

To get the academic price, choose products labelled as “Academic”. Before we can ship Digilent Academic articles, we must have obtainded the following information:

• name;
• academic role (professor, researcher, PhD student, student, ...);
• university name;
• university street address (complete with: place, state/province, postal code, country);
• academic telephone number (complete with country code, e.g. +39 ...);
• academic electronic address;
• proof of current academic status:
  • students: we suggest a copy of a suitable academic document (e.g. receipt of last university fee payment, last official university card, ...);
  • laboratories: we suggest a link to your official laboratory page;
  • workers: we suggest a link to your official academic page;
  • schools and academic institutions: official order on letterhead.

Your academic information will be verified by Digilent and shared with its Alliance partners.

Digilent Products and technical data may not be exported or reexported, either directly or indirectly, to the U.S. embargoed destinations or entities of Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria or to persons/entities on the Denied Persons List, Unverified List, Entity List, Specially Designated Nationals List and the Debarred List, without prior written authorization from the appropriate U.S. government departments (Commerce, State Department, Treasury).

Xilinx products with ECCN 3A001.a.7.a or b require an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce to a D:1 country group when NOT for use in civilian applications. If it is determined that Digilent products are being sold into a D:1 country for a government or military end-use, Mirifica must contact Digilent first for approval. If approval is granted, Mirifica must then seek an export license from the US Dept. of Commerce first.

Digilent Design Contest

Each year Digilent issue a design contest. The challenge is the development of innovative projects using Digilent products. These can be:

• Digital design projects featuring Digilent’s FPGA boards, developed in environments such as Xilinx ISE WebPack or ISE Foundation, National Instruments LabView, etc.
• Microcontroller projects featuring Digilent’s PIC-based embedded control boards, developed in environments such as Microchip MPLAB.

This contest is open to all university students. Projects can be entered by individuals or students working in pairs.  Digilent will be awarding generous prizes. Also, as a courtesy from Digilent, all participants who present their projects in the final contest will get to keep the Digilent hardware they used for their work, even if they do not receive a prize.
