PA6 family is based on the latest MediaTek GPS chipset, MT3329, featuring unparalleled performance in sensitivity and functionality, and comes with assortment of firmware customization features offered directly by GlobalTop.

Today, GlobalTop is officially announcing a new member of the PA6 family, the FGPMMOPA6E, ready for sample and mass production order as of this month.

PA6E offers the best of both worlds in terms of antenna support. It comes standardly equipped with pre-tuned ceramic patch antenna for easy integration, but in addition, it has an additional I/O interface for external antenna with short circuit protection.

PA6E has the ability to automatically switch between internal patch antenna and external GPS antenna upon detection. In the absence of an external antenna, the module will make do with its internal patch antenna. However, once an external GPS antenna connection is made, the GPS engine will be able to detect its presence and then automatically switch over to external GPS antenna for reception.

Similar to other GPS modules offered by GlobalTop, PA6E also comes with comprehensive firmware customization that makes them adaptable for various applications. Functions such as “Gtop Binary Protocolâ€, “One Sentence Customizationâ€, “Power Periodic Mode†and “AGPS†can help your system operate more efficiently in terms of speed and power saving.
